Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're looking at our Bauer EM RV Entry Door Lock for Motor Homes. Now, this is gonna be a Bluetooth-activated, or key-activated, or keypad activated, left-handed entry door lock. So, again, this would be a great upgrade for you. Again, it must be a left-handed motor home entry door.

So basically if you're standing outside of your motor home RV and you're facing your door, the hinge would be on your left. And, again, this uses Bluetooth technology and/or the pin pad to unlock the door without using the keys. And it also has an optional proximity mode to let you unlock it with a single-button push. And, again, you'll always have the included keys if you so need. It does come with included four AA batteries, and that's what's gonna give it the power it needs and everything to work.

And you can install, and then download, a free Bauer app for Android or iOS devices, and that's gonna have lots of different options in there. Power-changing mode, saving mode, those kind of things, to let you keep everything nice and secure. Of course, you got your deadbolt here. That's popping out right here. And then, of course, your handle to open and close.

These are just part of the hardware areas and stuff, so this is gonna be what's helping to keep everything locked in. And, of course, you get the hardware included to mount that striker plate to your door. Now, it's gonna be a simple installation, you just need a Phillips screwdriver. And as you can see, you got two main pieces here. This is where all the action happens, and this is the other side.

They match up very carefully when you're installing it. So, again, it's something you can do yourself. If you have a Phillips screwdriver and a little bit of time, it's not too hard to deal with. 9 1/8 inches overall length, about 5 1/2 inches tall, and about three inches thick this way with the handle closed obviously. And then, as far as a cutout, you're gonna have about a 4.5 inch by 4.8 inch cutout. So that should be about the same standard size or close to it. You may have to do some trimming there potentially, but not in most cases. So just make sure you're checking all those dimensions as well.
